Gateway of India.

Great place to visit in Mumbai city. Built as commemorate monument in order to welcome King George V and queen Merry of British empire. Construction were completed in 1924 and the designed by George Wittet. In the year 1948 last British troops departed from Gateway of India as part of last straw on camels back.

Presently, it serve as one of the most visited tourist destination in India. Ferry boats to Elephanta caves boarded from this destination.  It's lovely to view Gateway of India from boats. Massive Taj Hotel is juxtaposed to this monument.  The place is much crowded on weekends.

You will love to visit Gateway of India during  golden hours.

Keep traveling.....keep rediscovering.
