Shodh

Shodh is a women's search for her presence in an orthodox society. This is the second novel of Taslima Nasrin that I've read diligently. A few shades of Lajja were visible while flipping through the pages. Taslima must be a courageous writer of her time. Her bold writing skills made this novel a special read. Women's discrimination and their own ways of emancipation are nicely woven into the fabric of the various characters in the novel. 'A subtle vengeance' could be a best tag line if one has to put it in short. Good read. Highly recommended. Originally written is Bengali, I would really like to appreciate Runi Ray for putting soal into the translation.

Keep reading, keep rediscovering!
