This is an good article publishedin today's The Mint, I learn a new thing called disguised lay-offs. Disguised lay-offs are those workers who were working from home and were asked to report back to an office in a different city, tightening up the performance improvement plan and performance review processes to ensure people leave and then let go of specific under performance and other indirect form of lay-offs. The ethic nature of disguised lay-offs can be questioned against the sustainability of corporations. Ethical nature has been always matter of bone of contention whether it is moon lightning or now disguised lay-offs.
