What really matters...........

What really matters...........

I got an opportunity to read the news on how outsourced government teacher in some remote village of Chhattisgarh is trying at his level best to innovate the field of agriculture. His effort despite odd in government mechanism are undoubtedly admirable.

I have been thinking about what really matters in a job. A job which we perform as part our livelihood, a job which really keeps us spellbound, and a lot many.

I was working with one of the leading skill development company India where I have recruited hundreds of teachers and trained them on training skills for vocational subjects like retail, agriculture, hospitality and etc. These skills are subjected to enhance the livelihood of  thousands of students of government schools where they were never had an opportunity earlier to opt for the career choices of their interests.

The news cutting gave me an opportunity of self satisfaction of attaining the outcome of my job. The job of recruiting right set of people and training them with right set of required skills so that they become effective in performing their duties with utmost satisfaction. Although it was challenging to attract people for a job which is unconventional in nature.

Nobody thought of the becoming a teacher in government schools with their professional qualification, its kind of changing the track from the aspirations. People were also though of the risk factor in their career to become a teacher. But, what I all  started with a with impact of a job, at given time of time, job may not sounds like win-win scenario in life, but it all got the impact of your efforts in future time. 'The Impact' were the slogan to recruit people, to identify the right, to train the right, and to live 'the impact'.

The point, I am trying to highlight is the impact of once job on the society. Like illustrated above We all have raison d'etre. Each one of our task irrespective of corporation, profile etc have reasons to survive, reason for existence. At prima facie it is hard to view the importance of our day to day tasks. But in future course of action there is reaction for our actions which in tern bound to create mammoth effect on environment in which we serve.

Impact of once job is at core whenever we are trying to sell the job to perspective candidate. Profit and return on investment has lost its shine, the millennials want to see impact. Its is not that much of hard to find out the impact of what we do. Will feature the ways to found out the impact of job in upcoming blogs separately but certainly I am happy to see the impact of my job on society.

Wish you a very happy new year.

Spirit

Just finished the reading of More Than Human by Bill Protzmann. Spirit for human being is more than life. it's more lifeness. Throughout the process of evolution the word spiritual practice might have evolved.
The word spirituality has nothing to do with any religion. We all are observing in our day to day life one or many more spiritual practices. Before getting into additional details let me tell you the spirit from which we derived concept of spiritual practice.
The wold spirit which has only single connotation viz the non physical living part in you that makes you lively, makes you energies and make you to sustain in hard times. Are you with me.....Alright, the practices which makes you more energize and compelling are spiritual practices.

There could be individual or organisational spiritual practices. Just saying thank you indicate the spiritual practice of appreciation. One has to identify the best spiritual practices and worst spiritual practices and practice the same for further betterment. Once mature in the skills of practicing spiritual practices this will help us to achieve the objective and build the personal as well as individual culture.

Nice book. Good Reading.

Yayati......

Yayati.....................

Yayati is basically Marathi Language novel whiten by V.S. Khandekar.  The novel acclaimed the much famous award 'Gyanpit' in year 1974. For any writer aspiring to write something so beautiful and  his creation got such acclaimed award is just gaining the mastery of all writing for next coming infinite centuries.

I am quite unfortunate of not reading this novel in Marathi language despite having enough opportunities to read the content. But being late is far better than missing the bus. Today, I just finished the reading in english language. I felt like gaining a exposure of Jhumpa Lahiri which she experienced while writing her Italian language novel 'In Altre Parole'(in other words), the only significant difference is she wrote and I read.  Trying to put three main character in breath.

Yayati:

The novel depicts the story of sub central character of Mahabharata and story mentioned in Mahabharata- Adi Parva. He is one of the ancestor of Pandava and King of Hastinapur. The pages entails about the frivolous nature of Yayati his desire for love, sex. Being a kshatriya how he fall in love with his maids, how he marries to daughter of brahmin, his outlook towards women and wine. His aspects of life are definitely keeping readers spellbound.  Yayati character will make us kink the nature of human being,  'in spite of  much varied happiness, is always discontented and blindly running in pursuit of new pleasure. Desire will never be satisfied by indulgence it grows with every effort.

Devyani:-

Daugher of demons guru Shukra. She married to Yayati for sake of her aspiration. She was in love with Kachha but that relationship did not exist for longer time. Her ego always kelp her ahead of blindness.

Sharmistha:-

Daughter of king Vrishparva. As princes she would have married to king of any kingdom. But her quarrel leads her to become maid of Devyani for entire life. Her sacrifice for her father's kingdom make her different from all the characters. The depiction of surreptitious love between king Yayati and Sharmishta will make you fall in love with your love one again and again. She is idol for love, sacrifice, tolerance. He clandestine love with king and sacrifice for the offspring of love is really admirable.

Readers will enjoy the narration. I enjoyed it.
