How Travelling Changes our life…

How Travelling Changes our Life…

“Not all those who wander are lost.” – J.R.R Tolkien

Truer words have never been spoken. Travelling shouldn't be a chore. It shouldn't be an escape. It shouldn't be a rush to a destination. One must travel for travel’s sake. Because travelling changes who we are for the better. In more ways than one, Travelling should be aims towards discovery...

1. Every trip makes you, little SMART….
You become smarter in terms of expectations from LIFE… because you come to know about how people are
living….You come to know LIFE is beautiful.
(Govindghat, UK)

2. You don’t feel lonely anymore...….

Every trip makes you to feel that you are surrounded by beautiful serenity…. There are others who are directly or indirectly with you… you are not alone anymore….you forget the loneliness….

(Somnath, Gujrath)

3. You start respecting little things in life……

Travelling teaches you to respect little but important things in life. You recognize their value and start respecting them.

4. You find that life is more entertaining, we are the central character…….
One more important thing is to be an entertainer. The rarest quality of human being. Life in nutshell is
entertainment and one has to keep one self engaged with others. As you are the central characters with others.

(Ghagharia, UK)

5. You discover the happiest living creature on planet.
No matter whom you are where you are. Happiness must follow you. And you must fallow the happiness.
Some smiling faces teaches you…..nothing is important than happiness.

6. You started believing in spirituality.
As you crosses mile by miles. You started observing the path fallowed by masses to establish the peace in
mind. Some call them it as religious once and you called them are spiritual once. And you concludes that
spirituality is there to purify soul.

(Somnath, Gujrath)
7. Less traveled path…..
You wonder when you reached the destination of less traveled path.. You won’t believe own self…. And amusement begun in your life.

(Valley of Flowers, UK)

8. Sometimes you are helpless.….to gain hopes…
Sometimes you are speechless and helpless. You try to gain hope with this experience.

9. You discovers your own Dharma......
And you discovers that what you really mean for..........

                                                                               (McLeodganj, HP)
10.You make new lifetime friends….
As much you travel, that you makes new friends. Your co-passengers will become your best buddies. Keep
them, retain them. That’s only sole property you owe in world.

11. Every Sunset is Sunrise for you....
For you every sunset is Sunrise....You started looking for new avenues and ignited to explore more..and more.

Empathy at Work

Empathy at Work

Post swearing in ceremony after general elections in India were much debated topic especially after allocation of ministries to those who swore in. Our HRD(Human Recourse Development) minister Smriti Irani was under acute criticism by political group regarding her qualification to became as HRD minister for the county having more than billion population.

Few people were opinion that HRD minister must be well qualified person. Her qualification is 12th pass out; according to criticizers this qualification doesn't suits to become the HRD minister. India has set well framed qualification criteria for all government position except for minister. Criticizers have forgotten that they were given ample opportunity to set requisite qualification criteria for ministers but somehow they have missed it to reserve their right to criticize others.

Do we really think that qualification in real sense matters for the general positions like ministers those are provided with qualified administrative mechanism ranges from secretary, IAS Officers to clerks? However, I do believe that qualification matters and requisite for specified positions like doctors, civil engineer those who are directly involved in implementation.

The point of discussion is Smriti is young minister having lot of empathy to work with sector and set milestone under her tenure with HRD ministry.  She has raises herself to the level that she deserves to become HRD minister. Her journey towards destination is not the cakewalk. She is theatrical actress and gained her name and fame in Indian television space.

She is carrying empathy with her to perform her duties as HRD minister. It wasn't the easy task to gain name with this qualification especially when there is cut through completion.
She knows what it takes to became well educated without any formal education. She knows the loop wholes in education system and where interventions are needed to make thousands of Smriti’s. In fact being women her immediate focus must be on skilling women. Where we are as a county lagging behind far.
Education has changed its own definition to ‘skilling’. Where people are trained to gain some meaningful livelihood. Skilling one women would skilled entire family.  Her appointment would help India to get benefit of demographic dividend.

I sincerely believed that empathy at workplace will help to flourish performance of individual. Empathy is psychological term where person is having ability put oneself into other shoes and feel the way they are feeling. And actions towards empathetic emotions would deliver great deal of desirable performance. Empathy is helps individual to get aligned with organizational vision and evolve the vision. Empathy also helps to complement individual values to become shared values. Empathy got its own important place when diversity merges to form unity.

I am hopeful that her empathetic skill sets will help India to transform image from Scam India to ‘Skilled India’.

Empathy at work will transform India.
