Microfinance is HR driven business.

Microfinance is the extension of financial services to poor who are excluded from scope of activity of organized financial system. Rangarajan Committee on financial inclusion has proved the importance of Microfinance Institution (MFI) in social sector. And suggested several recommendations for MFI. Rough estimate indicate that there are around 1000 NGO and 20 companies MFI in India. The sector needs to tap the financially excluded regions of the country. So, it got tremendous potential and can take the advantage of economies of scale. My experience of working with microfinance institution has forced me to conclude that it is totally HR driven business. Though it is true for all industry but in case of MFI the pendulum is more towards it. Microfinance requires very special skill set with appropriate attitude to serve the business. So searching the desired competency personnel, attracting, recruiting, rewarding and retaining them is tedious task. Attrition among MFI’s again challenge for the business. As business growing rapidly by taking the advantage of economies of scale, there is need to reward talent among the talent and this is very powerful tool while retaining talent. This business involves lot of creativity and innovations. Therefore HR persons need to really act as catalyst of Change as change agents. Changes are in the form of replacing old financial product, introduction of new products, changes in delivery form of services, change in work location etc. These change need to be carefully escalate to all employees very carefully.
To cope with changes and managing innovations personnel’s needed to be given a proper Training. Training must be an ongoing activity of the organization to sustain in the business. It’s all about developing an organization with requisite skills and competencies. In future those organizations grow and sustain in competitive world that have employee friendly HRM practices. After all HR is competitive edge proved in a business.

Hi,

Wanna Ghajini look…

Now the learning lesson from Perfectionist Man from Bollywood nothing but One and only Aamir khan. His upcoming movie Ghajini is all sat to release on Christmas Day.
His eight pack look is become very laudable everywhere. It is very easy to appreciate eight pack body but do we know how this task was completed by Aamir. This process was very rigorous and painful. It just shows what man can make of himself once mind is conditioned to accept the pain, body punishment, of sustained, rigorous physical training.

His workout was cycle of tree days. On Monday he did chest and back, Tuesday he work on arms and Wednesday he exercised shoulders and legs and repeat the cycle. This include cardio everyday between half hour to an hour. And abs, to core muscle and get the pack. The day he felt good he pushes himself more. There was no time to think because he screaming in pain. His diet was challenging that supplemented his body.

It was balance diet, one third fat, one third carbo. One third protein but normal
food roties, sabzis, chicken, 16 egg white, fruit and 4 lit of water, all in tree spoons of oil. His Diet changes every month. In the last week he cut down salts and last tree days took himself on dehydration by having one glass of water a day this cut down last bit of fat. So body looks lean.

This efforts are fantabulous and really milestone achieving. For while forget about the abbs-body it gives us well-fitness.
So, take time from your life for you to work on it and make up mental make up for your six-pack body.( I am also thinking on it & made my mind for the same).
Dont think on it just do it.

One Night @ the call center………………

Hi,

I intentionally seatback to narrate a book review on Chetan Bhagat’s One night @ call center, and found out the reason why New York Times called him the ‘biggest-selling English-language novelist in India’s history. The story started with 6 employees of Call Center located at Delhi. How their life took a tern and certain flash back like in the movies all around the world. How they meet with accident and there by GOD. GOD prescribe them Four things a person need for success..
1…a medium amount of intelligence.
2…bit of imagination.
3…self confidence.
4…failure.

When we start doubting our self and that is when our confidence goes.
When we taste failure we don’t have fear. We can take risk more easily. And Then we don’t want to snuggle in our comfort zone anymore- we are ready to fly. And success is all about flying not snuggling.

At end of story Chetan has mention i) I can do whatever I really want. ii) God is always with me iii) there is no such thing as loser after all.
Really it was great experience of reading this novel. Please read it …..

HR......Campus....

Hi Everyone,

Ohhoooo…
Campus….. Campus…… Campus.......................,
Being an HR person Finally, I practically come to know what campus recruitment is, I have read lots of articles and books about campus recruitment. ( It is external source of recruitment method, we would have fresh, young and innovative blood with us, less cost consuming source Bla.. bla……bla….)

I have visited the campus of DAIICT, Ghandhinagar(Gujarath), Its well established esteemed institute in Gujarath.
We can clearly saw the enthusiasm on faces of students. Every one try to look fit for an organization. It is really difficult to find out talents among talented students,

At same time pain, of recession was reflected on their faces... As we know most of the organization freezing their Hiring out-look, Reducing there man power.

I try to convey them we are the learning organization. & these students who will join us will have great learning opportunities with us after all learning quotient of talented student is always high. Their zeal is only satisfied if they find their job gives them new learning. I think for any campus, our PPT should be strong enough to generate the high no. candidate. Campus is chance to be Brand employer. HR person is ambassador who represent the organization in great manner.

During PPT , I had explained student about recession, what are the impacts on our organization.( I gives them the references article published in leading national news paper about MIF and recession).
We conducted the written test and short listed the candidates and called for the next phase of recruitment i.e. field visit and final interview.
Finally first phase of our campus recruitment is finished now…
At evening we picked up our flight and back to pavilion…..

Bye....
